The Moroccan tile dates back to the Moorish artform Zellij. Moroccan patterns use simples shapes in symmetric repetitive ways, creating an illusion of depth and movement.

These patterns take inspiration from Arabic & Moorish influences, as well as variations from Spain, Portugal and Rome.
